Six out of 10 adults spend at least 5 hours a day on digital devices. The artificial light from smartphones and tablets strains the eyes which has long-term ramifications for ocular health. It is important for physicians to recognize the consequences of patients’ digital behaviors and provide solutions before any problems begin. By proactively addressing the negative effects of digital screens, patients can avoid visual problems down the road.
