Nonobvious Obstructive Meibomian Gland Dysfunction

Meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD) is not always an obvious diagnosis. A recent study of nonobvious, obstructive MGD concluded that patients could have as few as six functional glands before presenting symptoms of the disease. In this episode, Mile Brujic, OD, explains a grading scale for clinicians to dictate the level of treatment needed for asymptomatic patients with dysfunctional glands.
