NSAIDs Uses and Precautions

by Andrew Morgenstern, OD, Conni Koury, Editor in Chief, Walter Whitley, OD

Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are commonly used to treat inflammation without introducing the potential complications associated with steroids. Walt and Andy weigh in on whether there are limitations on the effectiveness of these drugs. Andy discusses the variety of ways he has used NSAIDs and the results he has observed in patients. Walt explains a few of the off-label uses for the drugs and how they can be used to treat conditions such as allergies and dry eye disease.
